Note from Joshua von Brown, director:
When journalist Mark Clark left me his unfinished cut of ALTAMONT NOW, the film had no music in it. I quickly came to the decision that ALTAMONT NOW is not a static “time capsule,” but a living and breathing dialogue about the relationship between rock and roll and rebellion. I screened the unfinished cut of the film for some of the finest purveyors of underground rock in the world today, and these bands jumped at the chance to help illuminate the issues surrounding The Incident. While Richard Havoc and the Cult of The Kids are a crucial part of our past history, these musicians represent the future of rock.

ENDURO
Austin’s legendary noise rock band ENDURO wrote five incredible songs especially for the film. Along with some special friends, they recorded the music in just a few days at The Sweatbox recording studio. Vocals for these songs were performed by Daniel Louis Rivas and Allyson Lipkin.

M.G. ESPAR
Composer M.G. Espar and guitarist Naren Rauch filled out the movie with an amazing feedback-drenched score, inspired by everything from Glenn Branca and Sonic Youth’s Made in the USA soundtrack to My Bloody Valentine and Mahler’s 5th Symphony.
